Choosing the best candidate for a job is a process of interviewing that requires learning how a person would relate to others and solve problems in your workplace or firm. Best-fit interviewing is strategically designed to allow candidates to demonstrate specific kinds of thinking, problem solving and relational strengths they can bring to the organization to which they are applying. It’s the heart of the process, the key to confidence in decision making which escapes many interview processes by focusing on a person’s prior job-related experiences instead.

The following interactive workshop series invites participants to learn about and practice the application of the following:

  • How to identify candidates’ multiple intelligences (and there are 9!) to reveal how they prefer to think, problem solve and relate to others.
  • Essential questioning categories and targeted questioning in each of these to reveal behaviors and actions related to problem solving pertaining to tasks, situations or circumstances based on the job for which they are applying; interpersonal, innovative thinking, leadership, team building and collaborative strengths they can bring to the job, preferred upper management styles.
  • Application of all of the above to designing and role playing candidate interviews and assessing results.
